{"id":739,"date":"2015-04-30T12:12:01","date_gmt":"2015-04-30T20:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kimchi.greyduck.net\/?p=739"},"modified":"2015-04-30T12:36:59","modified_gmt":"2015-04-30T20:36:59","slug":"a-fans-big-bang-review-of-bae-bae-and-loser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asthekimchiturns.net\/?p=739","title":{"rendered":"A Fan&#8217;s Big Bang review of Bae Bae and Loser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I really like Big Bang. \u00a0They were one of my first loves in Kpop and Monster still sits as one of my all time favorite songs. \u00a0 So I was really excited for them to start releasing their videos for their album MADE. \u00a0So without further ado, lets start with Bae Bae.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"BIGBANG - BAE BAE M\/V\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TKD03uPVD-Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Now Bae Bae is supposed to be a sensual love song. \u00a0The video was given a +19 rating for sexual innuendo. \u00a0 Seriously? \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=r0pJ-mBHiV0\">Ukiss&#8217;s \u00a0Quit Playing<\/a> video counts as +19. \u00a0 This video was instead more silly than sexy. \u00a0Which I appreciated because I&#8217;m not a big fan of watching pretend sex in music videos, but since the video is goofy over all, I can&#8217;t quite understand why it got a +19 rating in the first place. The sexual innuendo for GD&#8217;s section reminded me a lot of Michigo and was about as clever. Which means it wasn&#8217;t clever at all. \u00a0 Taeyang was amusing as the mexican cowboy, \u00a0but again, more silly than sexy. \u00a0I think Daesung and Seungri&#8217;s parts count as sensual, but the rap parts just didn&#8217;t do anything for me. \u00a0TOP was just silly, which he doesn&#8217;t do often. \u00a0I think TOP&#8217;s recent roles in recent movies, Tazza 2 in particular, have loosened TOP&#8217;s reserved nature some. \u00a0His love of art really showed in his section. \u00a0While I didn&#8217;t particularly care for this video and the elements were silly instead of sexual, it was nice to see a sillier side to TOP. \u00a0 The lyrics for this song are sort of dumb and maybe that&#8217;s why they went with a sillier feel for the music video. \u00a0This song nor its video will be in any of my playlists.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"BIGBANG - LOSER M\/V\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1CTced9CMMk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The melancholy Loser \u00a0had a totally different feel. \u00a0While I enjoyed what was going on musically with this song, \u00a0I didn&#8217;t particularly like the pimp aspects to the video or the lyrics, but I think this song has an interesting message to give its audience. \u00a0 IF, and its a big IF, they can realize it. \u00a0 I&#8217;m not a big fan of the whole gangster pimp aspect of hip hop. \u00a0 Its destructive and opens the door to a lot of abuse of men and women, especially for women. \u00a0 I see more domestic abuse because of this life style than any other. \u00a0The lyrics of this song completely reflect that. \u00a0The pain, loss and distrust that casual sexual relationships \u00a0lead to is completely reflected in this song.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kpopviral.com\/lyrics\/big-bang-loser-lyrics-translation-bigbang-english-romanized.html\">The lyrics <\/a>are taken from the perspective of a guy who has been lost and has\u00a0experienced betrayal as well as dished it out. \u00a0 For kids who think that traditional moral values are out of style, \u00a0old fashioned or just silly, \u00a0this song reflects what happens when you don&#8217;t have them. \u00a0This is what you end up with. \u00a0 Now, with me being almost 42, \u00a0I&#8217;ve seen my friends go through this. \u00a0Some are lost and some have worked themselves out of it. \u00a0But I see so many of my kids&#8217;
